I’m so excited that you landed here.
All of us are on a journey. Every single day we have different experiences. And we are always trying to make sense of the situations that we’re going through. Whatever our life looks like right now, whatever we are going through, it can make us bitter or better.
The details of our lives, big and small, all those circumstances…they have a huge impact on us. And those details can make us bitter – where it breaks our heart and hurts us – or it can make us better, where we come out on the other side and bring light and life into the world.
At the end of the day, that choice is up to us.
You might say, “Well, of course…who wants to be bitter? I want to be better.” But when we take a minute and look at our own lives and the lives of others, getting bitter is the norm. Haven’t you noticed it? Don’t you feel it? People are becoming more and more bitter. It’s what happens for many people. And it stands in the way of us finding true happiness.
But I believe there’s an answer…Jesus wants to make us all better.
You might be saying, “Oh, come on. I mean, Jesus…really?”
Yeah, Jesus.
He is a historical figure. He’s in the Bible. And Jesus in mentioned in other extra-Biblical literature as well. But it goes way beyond Jesus being a historical figure…
Jesus is real and He’s alive right now.
And he wants to walk with you through the messiness of your life and help you find the path that doesn’t make you bitter, but makes you better instead. Because Jesus always finds a way to leverage the circumstances that we find ourselves in and bring beautiful things out of the messy, hard things.
You might be thinking, “That’s not possible. You don’t know me…all I’ve done and all I’ve gone through.”
But I’m just like you. I’ve got stories too. We all do. But once you make the decision to walk with Jesus and you take that step, you will realize quite simply that it’s not only possible…it’s what God does. Because He is the great Redeemer. He exchanges his life for ours. He buys back all the harmful and hurtful situations of our lives, all the bad decisions – past, present, and even those coming up in the future – and He redeems them. And in exchange, they become the place where beautiful fruit is born in our life.
Maybe right now you are reading this and saying, “I’m tired of being bitter…I want Jesus to make me better.”
And I’m so excited because if that is what you want, I can lead us in a prayer that allows Jesus access to your life and gives him the freedom to make you better, right in the midst of whatever you are going through.
Simply pray, “Jesus, I give you my life. Thank you for saving me. I believe in you…your life, your death on the cross and your resurrection. Forgive me of my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. And teach me to follow you. I ask it in Jesus’ name, amen.”
If you just said Yes to Jesus, God wants to do a fresh work in your life and I want to help with that.
