“My life was awful, and I hated everything about it.”
Does God ever seem far away… out of reach? Maybe you know someone who has a relationship with God, and it feels as though He’s that person’s God. But because of all the terrible things you’ve done in the past, could He ever be interested in having a relationship with you?
We talked with Raymond from Molalla, Oregon this week. He was addicted to meth and alcohol for many years. Although he married a Christian woman and they had three beautiful children together, Raymond knew that something was missing. He didn’t share his wife’s faith, and their marriage was filled with conflict. His addictions grew worse, until his wife decided to leave him. He said, “My life was awful, and I hated everything about it.”
That was a turning point for Raymond. He knew he needed to change, so he went into rehab. That’s where he encountered the living God and found his own relationship with Him! Raymond is now 5 years clean and sober, and has been walking closely with the Lord for 3 years.
We’re honored that Daniel Fusco Ministries has been one of the tools that God is using to help Raymond grow in his faith. He found Jesus is Real Radio while driving home one night. He said, “I really related to what Pastor Daniel was saying. It was like he was speaking to me!”

He began to pray that God would provide him with a better job to provide for his family. He was excited to get an interview for a job in city government, and gave it to God in prayer. “This job is perfect for me,” he said. “I asked God, if this is you, then they will call me. And guess what? They really called me! I knew it was all God!”
We’re standing with Raymond as he prays for further guidance in his walk with God, and for reconciliation with his wife.
