“I have truly had a spiritual awakening…I am praising Jesus with everything I have in me!”
No matter how far we’ve run from God, when He steps in to save us, sometimes crazy things happen!
Crazy things happened when God decided to put His hand on Bridget’s life. She called to tell us about it. Two years ago, she had her 3 children taken from her because she was addicted to drugs and alcohol. In and out of jail, Bridget had been unable to break free of her addiction up until June of this year.
Because Bridget often falls asleep with her TV on, she has a timer on her television to shut it off every night at midnight. However, on the night God intervened in her life, she was awoken at 1:00 A.M. to the sound of Pastor Daniel preaching! She said, “My TV would never come on after midnight, but that night it did. God woke me up to listen to Pastor Daniel!”
The sermon was about the apostle Paul who was in jail but still praising God. Two days later, Bridget went back to jail for parole violation. She said, “Oh my gosh, that is why God had me wake up and watch Pastor Daniel, because He knew I was going to jail and that is what it took to wake me up. If it wasn’t for Daniel Fusco talking that night, I would not be here right now or getting my life back together!”
Bridget is now out of jail and working hard to get her kids back. She’s been able to spend more and more time with them, building the relationship back up. She’s optimistic that she will soon be reunited with her children. She said, “I am finally getting to know who this man Jesus really is. I have truly had a spiritual awakening…I am praising Jesus with everything I have in me!”

A friend she hadn’t seen in a long time told her recently that as he was watching TV, something told him to change the channel. When he did, he saw Pastor Daniel preaching a message that spoke to his heart. He felt that God was calling him. Bridget said, “I had goosebumps all over, it was so powerful!” She is so encouraged by how God is bringing people to Himself, and is using Pastor Daniel to do it.
Bridget’s story is a powerful one of how God is in hot pursuit of His children. Psalm 139 shows us how God sees everything, always knows what we’re up to, and always finds us: “O LORD, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!” (v. 1-3, 7-8)
There is nowhere we can go that God can’t find us! He loves us so much that He will seek after us with His whole heart.Â
